Capacities

The Inn can accommodate parties from 20 to 155 people during the daytime and parties of 20 to 40 people in the evening.

For December only: The restaurant is only open for private functions in December; therefore the Inn can accommodate 20-155 people both during the daytime or evening.

If you are interested in having a function with us that does not fit into these general criteria please give us a call. Depending on the date, time and size of your party we may potentially be able to accommodate your request.

Style of Service / Pricing

Taughannock Farms Inn provides seated service for lunch and dinner functions. We are unable to provide buffet service for these types of events. Prices do not include sales tax (8%) or gratuity (minimum 18%). All prices are on a per person basis unless otherwise specified.

Menu Planning

We like to do as much prior planning as possible so that your function may be perfect. Once you have decided what you would like to offer your guests, you need to confirm your menu choices with us before sending out invitations or obtaining menu choices from people attending your function. We will need specific counts on all of the menu items that you have offered your guests. This will help your event flow smoothly.

Guarantees

All functions will be required to give a guaranteed count before the date of the function. This will be the minimum amount you will be charged for. If the amount of people who actually attend the function is less than the guarantee, we will not prepare food on a to-go basis for those who are not attending.

Food and Beverage Consumption

Consumption of all food and beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are limited to only those purchased on premises. Taughannock Farms Inn adheres to all NY State liquor liability and service laws.

Bar Options

We have a number of different bar options available to fit your needs. All pricing is on a per drink basis.

  • Open Bar – All beverages are charged to your master bill.
  • Cash Bar – All alcoholic beverages are paid for by your guests.
  • Combination Bar – You select what alcohol you would like to pay for and your guests pay for anything not offered by you. For example – You could pay for all beer and wine and your guests could pay for liquor.

Another option may be to start your function with an open bar during the cocktail hour and then switch to a cash bar once the guests have been seated for dinner.

Wine Service

You may choose from our wine selections to accompany and complement your meal. Our service staff will pour the wine after appetizers are served and continue through dinner unless otherwise specified. All wines served during the wine service will be charged by the bottle prices. If you choose to offer wine service during your function please let us know your wine selections at lease 2 weeks prior to your function.

Dining Room Arrangements

Please use the dining room maps and table capacities if you would like to determine the seating arrangements for your guests. We welcome children to attend functions and we recommend that they be seated at a table with at least one adult. Once you have determined where you would like all of your guests to sit, we will review the seating chart with you prior to the function so changes can be made if necessary.

Audio Visual

If you would like to set up audio-visual equipment please let us know prior to the event so we can plan for space considerations.

Damages

We cannot permit any items or decorations to be affixed to the walls or ceiling using nails, staples, tape or by any other means. We reserve the right to bill the host of a function for any damage to the Inn caused by a guest of their function. Taughannock Farms Inn is not responsible for breakage or damage to cakes, flowers, products, party favors, etc. dropped off at the Inn.

Room Rental Fees

Please call for information about our room rental fees. All of our functions have prearranged start and finish times. We utilize the hour before your function’s start time to set up the room; therefore if your guests arrive early for the function, the room may not be ready yet and they will not be able to enter the room. As other guests may be utilizing the Inn prior to, or following your function, please adhere to the room rental times agreed upon. A minimum $50.00 charge will be applied for functions that start early or continue past the agreed upon start and finish times, with additional charges of $50.00 for every half hour. These fees will be deducted from applicable deposits. You must have prior permission to extend your function times.

Deposits

There is a $15.00 per person deposit required in the form of cash or check and is due at the time of booking. Both the room rental fees and the deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Final Payment

Final payments must be made by cash or check and are due at the end of your function. Bounced checks will be assessed a $35.00 charge.
